The Timeline of the Anna Jenkins Case

 



Adelaide resident Anna Jenkins, who was born in Malaysia, was reported missing in 2017 and later died.


Based on results from the forensic laboratory of the South Australian government, it is thought that the victim's cause of death was due to being struck in the head.


The case's timeline :


December 13,2017 - After visiting a dental office, 65-year-old Anna Jenkins was reported missing in Georgetown, Penang, close to Jalan Scotland.


After finishing treatment, it is believed that the victim requested the employee to arrange an Uber service for them to travel to a welfare home.


June 24, 2020 - Landscape workers made a discovery of a skeletal skull at a construction site adjacent to the Turf Club on Jalan Batu Gantung.


August 11, 2020 - DNA test was conducted on a hip bone discovered in a bushy location near Jalan Batu Gantung, which conclusively identified the remains to be those of Anna Jenkins.


October 14,2021 - The Penang Police filed a request to the Coroner's Court, and they are currently awaiting feedback and additional instructions from the concerned parties about the scheduled date for the inquest related to the case.


March 28, 2022 - Commencement of inquest proceedings, The South Australian Parliament is closely observing the progress of the Coroner's Court inquest proceedings.


May 12, 2023 - The Coroner's Court Reached an undecided conclusion regarding the demise of Anna Jenkins from Australia, as the exact reason for her death could not be determined.


June 29, 2023 - Greg Jenkins, the victims son, has initiated legal proceedings in the high court of Kuala Lumpur, accusing the police and the Malaysian government of being negligent in relation to his mother's passing.


August 16, 2023 - The South Australian Forensic Department discovered evidence of injuries on the victim's head, legs and fingers, which are believed to have occurred prior to their death.
